Hi Allen
I'm in Fresno, how do you typically get to BVI? Your flight itineray?
Thanks!

Hi Karen,
This trip we are taking a red eye out of LAX to Dulles in Washington DC area. Then on to San Juan PR and finally San Juan to Tortola on Intercaribbean Air. Not my preferred itinerary but this turned out to be somewhat reasonably priced and it gets us directly into Tortola without having to ferry from St. Thomas. It actually worked out OK as our daughter will be joining us on the same flights from Dulles to Tortola and back as she lives in the DC area. Seems like no easy way to get to the BVIs from the west coast.

There are plenty of easy connections from LAX. Most go through ALT, DAL or MIA. Just depends on who you fly. I can never figure out how everyone says the connection through San Juan to EIS is a great deal. Every time we looked at it, it added another $250-$300 on top of the regular flight cost. I will take a Painkiller and nice 50 minute boat ride on the ferry for $65/rt. We have never had any problems with ferries in all the years going down to the BVIs.
Cruising the local waters here in SC and GA. Love the BVIs and miss the Tradewinds!

Virgin Gorda has come back in a big way - relatively few derelict houses and a good number of locally owned houses under repair throughout the island - here at Mahoe Bay - only two houses where work on roofs hasn't started so 95 percent of the villas will be ready for rental by July/August - Adagio, Loblolly, Bellamare are ready now with the beach front houses rapidly catching up in terms of being 100% rent able.
