Daughter and granddaughter are going to join us in June. She will use points to SJU and spend the night. Then SJU to EIS the next day. Can’t sort out the real baggage allowance from the website. Anyone use them recently? G

George I have used them several times in the last couple months, I love them so far. As for baggage the first bag has been no charge up to 50 pounds. You can also have one carry on as long as it is 10 pounds although the lady let me go the other day with 15 pounds. The fee for a second checked was going to be 75 which I thought was steep but I didn’t need it after all.

We have had the same experience as Ken with Intercarribbean. Great service. They never weighed my second bag, a nap sack, so I was unaware of the 10 pound limit. My nap sack is never under 10 pounds with my computer and camera gear.

Kind of related
We are flying into SJU on Southwest with an ETA of 12:40 Depart SJU to EIS at 2:45 on Intercaribbean Air. My question is, how do I get a checked bag from Southwest to Intercaribbean and how much time to allow. Thanks for the help and apologies for jumping (?) the thread

If the stars line up and your plane is on time, you should be okay. We have done that exact combo of flights but not with checked bags. It went very smoothly. I would assume you will collect your bag at baggage claim and then go back through security. The part that will be tricky for you is how long the line is to get through security.

Also a quick thought, it will help you a bunch if you contact Intrcaribbean and provide them your trusted traveler number ahead of time. I say this because if you have TSA pre check it can save you valuable time in SJU.

Seems like checked bags are adding unnecessary stress so that decision was easy. Turns out the IA flight actually leaves at 2:35 Decision even easier Thanks for the help
