Been here two nights. This place is hopping. All mooring balls taken by about 3.30. Plus a dozen boats anchored. Resort looks great. Michael Bean show entertaining. Fuel available via tender out to the boat. $6 per gallon.
Entertaining to watch what happens as the moorings fill up. There are two private halls clearly marked. Many boats came by and looked and moved on. But for some people private means nothing. So here is the question of the day.... which boat type is more likely to snag a private mooring ball? Momo, cat, or power cat?
Life's short - sail more!

I see people take private balls all the time. What many fail to consider is a private ball might be set up for a sunfish with a 10lb concrete block or it might be set up for a 40,000lb boat. You have no way of knowing. G

Agree place is looking like the good ole days - been here for almost two weeks VG clearly looking better every day - guests have started to rent Mahoe Bay villas.

Anchoring is great at Leverick. I don't get the mooring ball separation anxiety.
