Perch Lite put up a taxi parking sign attracting cruise ship drop off for Club Orient chair and umbrella rentals.

With no security cruise ship tourists are reported filling up Perch Lite and taking pictures right at the bar?

Majority of chair rentals were filled with cruise ship tourists and vendors selling their goods daily.

As long as the chairs are rented, I doubt it is a major concern as to if they are cruise ship visitors or not. Their $$ is just as good as the next person.

Agree JD. And none of this is new, although the "crowds" are pretty non existent. We are there every week and have not seen many vendors and most chairs are filled with folks with no clothes. Same old, same old. Yes, there are a few more cruisers, but it's about the only place with chairs. No big deal.

Thanks. Very different ball game now. I am sure they are thankful for any chair they rent and the more the better, regardless of what they are wearing or not wearing.

Beach didn't look to inviting with all that seaweed. I'll stick to Kim Sha, Pinel and Mullet till Orient gets more developed.

No seaweed at Club O. Was just there for a swim and the beach was beautiful.

Glad to hear the beach is beautiful. We can't wait to get there in five days. Hoping there are plenty of nudists like us there so we can outnumber the cruise visitors.

You’re always so negative about anything posted concerning the end of Orient where Club O was
Why do you even look at any posts about this area. If you weren’t such a prude you might understand
why people that have always frequented that end might like their to be more nude than clothed

I’ve noticed a “tone”, as well, to scubaman’s posts re: Club O, etc. I thought it was just me but apparently not.

If this discussion is to continue, it will NOT be an "us versus them" situation. It is not about nude versus people who choose to remain clothed and I do not believe Scubaman fired the first shot in this thread. Understand?

Thank you.

The point of my previous posts was that we enjoy the ambiance of the nude section at Orient Beach while also acknowledging that everyone has a right to be there. My inquiry was to see if that ambiance still exists by asking other travelers.

Right. But if your not a regular on here powers to be don’t want to hear it. Even though others that are not on here that much might like to hear different views

I not a prude and find you rude for insinuating that. I walk that end of Orient every time I'm on Orient Beach and nudity doesn't bother me. Just found that comment rather rude to think they needed to out number cruisers. Like that location should be off limits to any others that don't share their lifestyle.

Many people who have enjoyed the Club O beach nude would not enjoy it as much, if at all, if the majority of people on the beach were clothed. Some obviously do not care what others are wearing or not wearing, but many do and are far more comfortable as part of a group. I think that this is just human nature (and not intended to be rude) and it is why many beaches/resorts/pools in many places that permit nudity require nudity.

I think its safe to say, that until Orient Beach gets up and running with some normality, The rule book has changed. Everyone will need to have tolerance with each other being clothed and or not clothed. There are limitations to chairs and services at OB and until otherwise stated, everyone has the right to be there. The beach is a place for fun and relaxation, not be juvenile and compete over who is better or trying to "outnumber" the others. if someone has a problem with the other, than that person(s) should find other accommodations.

Tough crowd here. Some clearly got what I was saying...some not. I really didn't think I could be any more clear. I urge some of you go back and carefully read my posts. You may find that what you thought was there really isn't. That said, we all have a right to our opinions. Unfortunately some of these opinions do not accurately reflect the intent of my posts.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to share their comments, good or bad, and have a nice day.

Right. Everyone knows as long as their are no other beach bars open on Orient everyone clothed or not is going to be close to the Perch Lite. Which is great. The more the merrier. Just got people that have time to post 7,8,9,12000 times that think only their option matters. I been a member since 2009 and have only posted 50+ times. Normally don’t respond but I think everyone has a right to their own opinion.

I have to wonder who is running things on Club Orient property? It was not actually Club orient owners who built Perch Lite but Cedric and other former employees.
Club Orient although open to all tried to restrict cameras and other activities that would make their paying guests uncomfortable. There are not any guests at Club Orient but the resort still needs to keep to their view of how the now Perch Lite and water sports (chair and umbrella rentals) should be managed.
Does the perch lite have the Club Orient concept in mind or are they just using club orient property to make a living till the resort is back?
Just my thoughts! :umbrella umbrella umbrella:

Cedric is running the chair rentals and providing whatever security is needed. Folks from Papagayo are running Perch Lite.
