Friends are travelling home to Toronto on Sunday April 29th and need help. They have adopted a puppy and are trying to get him home. They are seated in Row 1 and need to change to Row 2 or 3 in order to get him him under the seat. Please let me know if you are booked in these rows and are willing to switch.

Sorry, I think that they would be much better off contacting the airline. They don't NEED to be in rows 2 or 3, right? Just not in row 1?? Contact the airline about switching.. The odds that someone here would be in one of those particular rows on that particular date are pretty low..

It is a direct flight from SXM to Toronto. West jet suggested they contact vacation groups to see if anyone could switch with them and yes they could sit elsewhere but the first three rows are first class. We thought that we would give it a try and see if anyone sitting in those rows would be willing to switch.

OK, if they really want to adopt the puppy, first class should not be their first concern.

You might want to put the request on facebook. There are many people who look at Jeff Bergers's everything sxm pages. Sitting in first class would certainly give everyone--including the puppy more room to move.

Really?? If that is the airlines answer than good luck. I suggest showing up at the airport on the 29th and ask the passengers in those rows if they would switch or at least let them put the dog under their seat while traveling (and or anyone who is on that flight and has room under their seat). I hope whoever adopted this puppy has gone thru all the medical and legal requirements of importing a dog from a foreign country - that dog might not be going anywhere.

Thank you for your replies....Yes first class would be the answer as the there is no middle seat and much more room. They have all the paper work and have had the puppy checked out by a vet. I did put the request on Jeff Berger's site and also on an Anguilla site.

Just recently some airlines have cracked down on allowing and pets onboard unless they are actually registered service animals and have papers to prove it. Hope these people researched this and have those documents.

Just as a follow up...... A medical student has offered to help out and stow the puppy under her seat if they can’t find someone to exchange with.
