We are heading back to SXM in December, after having to cancel our November 2017 post Irma trip. We are coming for two weeks. One week is going to be at Club Fantastico. Our second week was always spent at Club O, but.... Anyway, thinking about doing something different and renting an apartment/condo, etc. We have never done that and was hoping for some information or suggestions on rentals. Thanks!

Where is it that you want to stay? Somewhere on Orient, or possibly Dutch side? What are you willing to pay?

We stay at The Villas on Great Bay. Villa 2 is our favorite and have stayed there 3 times and going back again next month for 2 weeks. Wally is the manager and you can watch the cruise ships come in daily from your deck.

The original poster didn't come back to give more info, but without more info, I would suggest Beachside Villas. Great location on an uncrowded beach.

Carol, my wife Cleta (AKA Rabby) is the OP. We definitely prefer the French side - either Orient or Oyster Pond. We're not going 'til December, so she's maybe jumping the shark a bit. We're spending our first week at Club Fantastico, and have some ideas for the 2nd week but are welcome to options. Price? I know it's high season, so we're flexible, but not the owners of unlimited cash flow. I've seen some places between 1K & 1.5K that would do the trick.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

We own one of the units at Les Balcons d'Oyster Pond. We stayed in our unit during February and March. David and Carine are putting on new roofs on all of the units which I am told should be done soon. Projected opening is October 2018.

Oyster Pond to Orient is a short 15 minute drive and very little traffic.

Thanks, Harry. We've stayed at Les Balcons several times and loved the place, the area & the hospitality.
