Rented a villa for July 21-28. Sent deposit on March 1. Booked flights - nonrefundable. Entire family going.

Villa owner cancelled my rental this morning.

Anyone have any suggestions on a villa with a pool, with a minimum of 3 bedrooms, and two bathrooms within walking distance to a beach? In the BVI. July 21-28.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

What is your budget?

If either of these are available, I highly recommend both of them -

Blue Lagoon - new, modern with an outdoor putting green and ping pong table

Adagio - great view, lots of room to spread out, huge outdoor area

There is a stunning, brand new villa right on White Bay JVD, and it looks like they have availability for your week. It's true, and better yet, we toured it last month and it is AMAZING! It's called Glass House.

Short story...last July we rented a villa directly next door to Glass House called Escape Villa. At that time, Glass House was just starting construction. When Irma and Maria hit, it was little more than poured concrete foundations, so it survived the storm unscathed. Our beloved Escape Villa right next door was not so lucky, and it was badly damaged. We learned the wonderful news that Escape Villa will return this Fall, but meanwhile Glass House is ready.

Not sure what your price range is or how many of you would be splitting the cost, but just wanted to pass this on.

When we rented Escape Villa, we had our provisions delivered by Riteway Tortola for food and Caribbean Cellars for beer, wine, and liquor. The house manager meets the ferry and your provisions will be delivered and in the fridge when you arrive. She is an amazing lady, as she is the same house manager we had at Escape Villa.

Anyhow, here is the link for Glass House: https://glasshousebvi.com/

Also, Escape Villa is planning to again be offering rentals by this Fall, so check their page for the future: http://escape2bvi.com

Good luck!

Our family of 5 stayed here this summer and loved it. Seems to be available. It is a fabulous villa and the views and breeze are amazing never gets old. Looks over apple bay. The price is very reasonable for its layout, design and view

4 things to consider:

1) It is spread out with a bedroom on the lower level, 2 bedrooms on the middle level with storage and laundry and the top level hosting the great room huge lanai and an open bedroom separated by a privacy screen. if you have small children, you may feel more comfortable staying together in the middle level.
2) not within walking distance to a beach (well it is but it is a steep walk)
3) you will need a 4x4 vehicle and a lot of guts to get to the top of the hill and the villa. Once you do it once though it gets easier and easier!
4) price is very reasonable to depends if you are able to spend more for a more beach accessible villa

Good Luck!

Again, not sure of your budget, but we have stayed at The Sunset House. The place is gorgeous and Carmen, who takes care of the place is a true delight.

It is an easy walk to Long Bay, but coming back up is a little hike. Depends on the fitness of your group. It looks like it is open for your dates.

Greetings, Good luck in the search. We've stayed in numerous villas on Virgin Gorda annually over the past 20 years and Adagio and South Sound are by far our favorites. Have stayed at both several times. Unfortunately South Sound was impacted heavily and is being rebuilt at the moment. Brian the owner of Adagio is a great villa owner to work with. I'd highly recommend his place.

We stayed at that vrbo 101636 on Tortola several years ago (late July, during Festival), and it's a great house. No AC, and the mosquitoes were pretty bad in the lower bedroom. The upper level got great breezes, though, so no problem for those in that bed. The current pics look a bit different, but the decor at that time was really cool. The views from the porch are to die for! No clue what shape it is currently in. Good location near Apple Bay; closest AT&T cell service was by the old Jolly Roger in Soper's Hole (hahaha - we spent some time parked over there every couple days checking in with the world back home). Man, I miss that place.
Fun memory - that was when we met Big Sexy, our bartender at the Jolly Roger. Invited him back to the house for happy hour, and he showed up! Good times. groovin
