Leaving for Haulover second week of April. Since it is our first visit, we have a few questions. Is it true you can rent chairs and umbrellas and for how much? Based on what I've heard, the crowd is quite active at the center, but further down it is more couple oriented. Is this correct? I heard the beach gets really crowded and parking is hard to find after 10am and even harder on the weekends. Any suggestions and helpful hints from fellow naturist beach travelers and Haulover veterans? Finally, best place to rent a car for quality service and reasonable price? Thanks everyone.

Umbrella and 2 chairs $30. Figure out where you want to be or you may just end up where he has chairs already.
Parking has a machine or you can pay with an app.
Plenty of spots when we went.
Food truck line gets very long at lunch. The truck is just ok. $3 soda, no beer, and like $5 bucks for barely fair hamburger.
Bring your lunch and drinks if you can. Youll be glad.
Weve found crowd to be evenly dispersed. Gay end to the North. We usually settle down because we get tired of walking.
When we were there in Feb heavy jelly fish. Hopefully gone by now.
From 10am to 3pm mostly couples and well behaveds.
After 4, the creeps get off work or come out from under rocks and head to haulover.
Avoid bathroom at 5 pm, it was an orgy, literally. In and out in 3 seconds. Stuff like that that will get Haulover closed.
Again stay to the main hours and when all the regulars beat feet, i would too.
We rented from avis and budget at airport and downtown after cruise.’noncomplaints.

Have not been to Haulover for several years but it looks like things are pretty much the same. Wife and I made sure we got off the beach by 4 as well.

Thanks for the information. It was helpful. We went to Haulover on Thursday(4/5/18). Parking was $6 and $35 for two chairs and an umbrella. Inflation. Parking on West side of road and take the tunnel under the road to the beach. Not very crowded, but not great weather either. Food from the truck was good.

I just bring something to lay on the sand. Leaves more money for "beverages"...

I knew I only had one day and I wanted to see what Haulover was like, so I paid the going rate. The same service cost me $18 at Orient Beach last week.
