Sunday was a quiet day around the pool. Nice day good friends
For dinner decided to go to lee's. Having had a huge amount of hor d'oerves a the pool we only ordered mains. Art and I got the red snapper fillet. The wives split with ribs and a whole red snapper. The fish both whole and filleted was very good. We really enjoyed them. For a side i got the mushy Vegs and a very good cole slaw. I'm convinced everyone on the Dutch side gets their mushy Vegs from the same person. The ribs were greasy and tasteless. Very disappointing. Stay with the fish, for under $20 it's a good buy. Bill about $40
Today was a trip to karakters. Saw MotownTim. Obviously we both like the beach. They were taking down the roof but I did not ask why. The weather was probably the best we have had, absolutely beautiful
For dinner decided to go to Yvette's After going over the mountain with no problem we hit traffic that looked like the traffic of the last few months. It took over an hour to get there and when we arrived we could not be seated ( we did not have a reservation). They were have a big party for dinner. I booked for Friday and knowing what the traffic was went the long way with a stop in grande case. Tried le cottage for the first time and had a wonderful meal. The escargot were delicious and beautifully prepared. The red snapper with shrimp and squid was very tasty and the Carmel soufle was a treat. It's a set price of $48 a person and exactly what I would have ordered off the menu. Add two Glasses of wine and a cup of espresso and the bill was $112. Service was perfect and I really enjoyed the evening. Le Cottage has now made it on my top three list for grande case but Bistro Carib and la villa still edge them out. Looking forward to a trip to the market in marigot tomorrow. Hopefully an early start
