We were on Tahitian Princess, did Tahiti Islands and Rarotonga, in 2003, so several years ago. Beautiful cruise! Although the formatting is somehow a bit off, our trip reports from that trip are in the Trip Report Archives. Search for "Tahitian Princess".

Hello!...

we also did the tahitian princess in 2003 but were on the marquesas itinerary-- looked into the cook islands option but had to incorporate our anniversary....
would probably add that since you are getting such a great deal by cruising through french polynesia it might be worth staying a few nights in an overwater
bungalow...we chose pearl beach on bora bora...we still think about that trip...

enjoy!

We did the Paul Gauguin May 2017 Tahiti to Fiji cruise. It’s a small shallow draft boat so it can slip through the breaks in the atoll reef right up to the islands. The crew was awesome, the food was very good. The South Pacific islands are very different from the Carribean. The islands are all atolls and are very beautiful. The snorkeling and diving are amazing. The South Pacific Islanders are definitely the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever met. We are going to do the Tuamotus/Marquesas itinerary next year. The trip looks expensive but really is quite a bargain if you price out air, food and accommodations seperatly.

Yes, food and accommodations are both very expensive in that area.
