I'm putting together a playlist of the music usualy played at Papagayo in the evenings. Since "dancing the night away" at Papagayo was not an option this year, I thought it would be nice for dinner one evening when our group gets together later this year; however, I'm having difficulty remembering much of the music. This is going to be a very short playlist unless I get some help! Can anyone add to this pitifully short list?
I will survive - Donna Summer Hot Hot Hot - It's gonna be a good night Unchained melody Sweet Caroline Brown Eyed Girl Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World Electric Slide YMCA Can't Help Falling In Love With You I'm a Believer The Twist Always on My Mind - Willie Nelson Catch the A Train - Guy Lumbardo My Maria

How about “Uptown Funk”, “It’s a Little Bit Funny” and and a real oldy is “In the Mood”. Don’t forget “New York, New York”. I’ll think of some more later on. Have fun, but this reminds me of where I would be right now had it not been for Irma...

Ah, the memories! Yet another wonderful thing about Club Orient! The after dinner music at Papagayo was a perfect mix, with a most welcome balance between fast and slow...and it was focused on getting you out of your seats and dancing to the love songs you loved.
Think about it...you are there with your husband/wife/significant-other, nude, you have had a really good meal, and now you both have a chance to get out on the dance floor and dance in the nude with the one you love.
It doesn't get any better than that!
Please rebuild soon!

What a great idea to start this list. We also are going to miss the music and dancing this year. I have some suggestions to add to the list. Cha Cha Slide, Mambo #5, Clebration, Happy, Old Time Rock & Roll, Last Dance, Pretty Woman, Macarena, Let's Get Loud.

You could always count on Bad Romance and Pokerface by Lady GaGa to be played

I was never there but two of my favorite songs that I have "given" to my wife to express my love for her are Faithfully by Journey and Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.

Great thread. We knew we’d be missing David for a long time. Didn’t expect to be missing Club O for so long. Returning to Orient in November. Additions to the playlist : Lady in Red and I Swear (John Michael Montgomery version).

We loved the music at Club O, both at Papagayo and the Perch. Here are some of the tunes that we enjoyed there in addition to those already mentioned: Angel Of The Morning, Carolina In My Mind, Dancing In The Dark, Happy Together, Hotel California, Hurts So Good, I Did It My Way, I Want to Know What Love Is, Johnny B. Goode, Just the Way You Are, La Bamba, Let It Be Me, Like a Rolling Stone, Lyin' Eyes, Peace Train, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Stand By Me, Sway, Take It Easy, The Walk Of Life, To Love Somebody, and You're Sixteen. Sure hope we get to return soon!
