Hey Folks,

Long-time lurker and first-time poster. Family coming down in June for 3rd vacation in Virgin Gorda. We're doing a cat vacay and a land-based vacay this time. We've always stayed at Guavaberry Spring Bay but just heard from them that they probably won't be ready by June. Any recs on where to stay in the Baths/Spring Bay area of Virgin Gorda. It's 5 of us, all adults. We're not into big luxury-type places, we don't need a pool or maid service; just a nice house near a beach. Thank you.

There was a house up near there that Guavaberry helps manage. I have to assume it isn't available for your time period. We were looking at the Casita, since it is just the 2 of us (no big house needed). We ended up moving our dates to get the lone one bedroom cottage still standing at Guavaberry (we leave tomorrow!).
This page supposedly lists places that are open, including lodging and restaurants: http://www.bvitourism.com/virgin-gorda-update

Mike, Where is La Cashette? We always stay at Guavaberry (and have a preferred cottage there that is out of commission, to say the least). I can try to find La Cashette if you let me know.

La Cashette is the last of the villas on the left
Across from where Mad Dogs was and,
hopefully will return,
just south of the entrance to the Baths and
Top of the Baths
It consists of 3 separate yellow buildings
Really hope you have a great time

ohstate, we've stayed at the Casita 4 different times and are heading back in early April. For just 2, you can't get any better in our opinion. Barry and Silvia are the folks who own it and they are really great people. I hope you have a great time and I hope the landscaping at the Casita didn't get too damaged or has grown back. You'll enjoy it.

Mike,

La Cahette was getting all new roofs last week. Looked good otherwise, but with roof damage, the interior probably needs some work once the roof is done.
