Any recommendations for a cruising guide for the PR and SVI area?

I have the Donald Street book from 2001, but that is getting fairly old at this point. I also just downloaded the Free Cruising Guide from the internet. This seems pretty good.

Is this book, worth it?: Cruising Guide to Puerto Rico, 3rd ed. -2015

Thanks!

We used the Pavlidis 2nd edition for SVIs and circumnavigating the big island. Some things were out of date, but overall worth it's weight in gold.

Donald Street’s cruising guide’s and waterproof Iolare charts have done the ground for all the guides of today.
He deserves all the credit for opening the Caribbean to cruisers and charterers

Lots of great stuff on this thread, at least as of 6 months ago. We sought this information for a trip in November 2017, now postponed to April 2018.

Sailing Information For SVI & St Croix

Also just ordered the Pavlidis 3rd edition (2015), based on FLJim's recommendation of the 2nd edition. $43.65 on Amazon.

I just ordered it as well. But from Walmart because it was $32 and faster shipping. Go figure...

The best cruising guide we found is Frank Virginito's free "A Cruising Guide to Puerto Rico." He continues to update the guide. The Street guide is badly out of date and the Pavlidas guide has GPS coordinate errors and other errors.

You can read about our experiences from our 2015 cruise at http://dinghylife.wordpress.com/2015/11/18/seabbatical-trip-report-october-16-november-15-2015/

Our last visit to Culebra was July 2017. Wonderful place with wonderful people.

Cheers, RickG
