Hi Funsue.......we are very close friends with Gus. He has been dealing with insurance problems for his house....which was a total loss. He's been living in a tent. As of right now, his beach bar isn't back in business. He did say he is going to rebuild, just the worries and getting back to "normal" has been hard. I just got a message from him this morning that the insurance company has come thru!! Finally:-) He told me that when we come down in March his bar will be up and running.

Oh I am SO happy to hear his insurance money came through! I hope he is able to fix his house soon. So sad he's living in a tent. He's such a nice man. We are hoping to get to SXM this March as well. Hopefully his bar will be up and running. 🙏🙏

I am so happy for him. We use to go all the time, but stopped when I kept getting beat up
with the waves. Loved eating lunch and his great drinks.
I wish there was a way to find out when they are having a good day....other than riding there every morning.
