United has their STT schedule up and other airlines have lowered prices. We're booking Halloween.

RickG - I'm in your area and looking at going down end of October. Will you be flying United out of IAD? If so, is it the connection through SJU or are you seeing any non-stops that time of year?
Thanks, Rick

We booked AA for $427 10/25-11/3. United was attractive, but I did not go with them. The AA itinerary was good enough and I want to see United fly the route a couple times before I give United another try.
Cheers, RickG

I booked a couple of months ago on AA June 17-29 for TPA to MIA to SJU to EIS and return for $785. Today, the fare for the same trip is $901. Ouch!

I ran into an air traffic controller on Friday and he said the airlines where going to start adding back flights in March. That should make spring and summer a lot easier to book.

Booked the other day 5/28 - 6/8 with AA tampa to stt via miami o/w and then spirit (ugh) on the way back stt to tampa via Ft. Laud for 2ppl total $880. Then will use the ferry to Tortola. I have always had trouble getting directly to EIS from Tampa with AA always crazy prices and weird times.

The only AA connection I would trust is through MIA. The rumors about more flights being added are just that, rumors. I have been back and forth to STT from CLT 6 times since Irma. I have flown all the possible routes. The only consistency is that the lack of consistency. Flights are added and deleted every week. The schedule changes often. My experienced travel agents are frustrated.
As far as additional flights being added this spring or summer forget it. The only travelers now are relief workers, villa owners and locals trying to get off island. The airlines will not schedule more flights until the major resorts open. Going into the season there is no way they open up. One of the majors resorts has predicted an October opening. We’ll see.

We’ve had good luck with separate tickets on Southwest and Seaborne going through San Juan to Tortola.
