I know many of you have expressed your thoughts on Time-Shares and exorbitant amount of annual fees being charged by resorts. What are your thoughts on buying a Condo Property in SXM now? Are there some properties that have not been damaged or have been repaired since Irma's devastation?

It may be good time to buy as many others are abandoning the time shares. I am not in favor purchasing time-shares --- I know they provide a set of weeks at a price with reasonable comfort.

I would expect this would be buyers market.

Actually it is a good time to buy something that has some damage , once one can afford it.

I'm looking at next summer to see where the condo market ends up.

Unfortunately, the timeshare industry has gone unchecked for too many years. No industry that uses such hardcore sales techniques can be fair to the consumer.

Imagine if actual real estate agents snuck up on you in parking lots or beaches..or offered free golf or dinners to sit in a seminar in a locked room!

It is the perfect time to buy now in SXM. Villas worth 1M are selling now for 675K. John Forier (may he RIP) bought a 4M villa for 800k.
