Heaven on Earth....SXM still is. We are at el Zafiro. Three beautiful rooms open and rented. They will be opening the 4 lower rooms very, very soon soon. Restaurant open. Delicious. Rented car from Lesley (Kenny). Fast and easy as ALWAYS. Weather spectacular. Another ship today. Daily progress on the Dutch side. Rancho del sol above Orient open and busy. You need to book flights and come to SXM.

Great to read such positive comments. Very happy for Nicole and her family. I can only imagine how their beautiful daughter has grown since we last saw her. And great to hear progress is on-going across the island. So, the top floor rooms are finished? I actually never knew that they had actually finished them to begin with, even before the hurricane. What's the status of the beach at Beachside? I'm not sure how many, but I know that Beachside is renting at least some of their rooms.

I walked along the beach past beachside. I am not sure if any are rentable yet. Very sad. Even the one beside number 10 is empty. But their pool looks gorgeous. Loungers, tables and chairs. Yes. el Zafiro has 3 of the 4 open upstairs. Incredible views from the balconies. The 4 lower rooms will be open in a couple weeks!!!!!!!

No, Beachside is definitely OPEN and renting. Not sure how many, but definitely renting and they were renting at low season rates. How much beach is there between the water and the buildings?

Thanks! I got the second video this time. Looks like it's kind of tough to walk over to BSV from where you are, but the beach at BSV itself is come back some.. Wish I was there!!

Hi. The video was of the beach at Beachside Villas, not anything of El Zafiro. I don't have any pictures or video of El Zafiro. Suggest you contact the original poster in the thread for more info and/or pics.

There are tons of pictures of the beach at Beachside Villas on any of my trip reports. You can send the original poster a PM, yes, for pictures of El Zafiro.
