That's the single reason why we've never stayed there, and doubt I would ever go there. I have bad knees.

Yes, lots of steps. Just got back last night and had 83 steps to our penthouse D21 And further to what BeaNJoe have said, there are 120 steps from room G11 down to the Palazzina restaurant for breakfast, 120 back up after to get beach supplies, 120 back down to the beach, 120 back up to the room at the end of the day to freshen up, 120 down for dinner, and finally 120 back up to G11. That is a total of 720 steps on the average day. Your mileage may vary. Our stay there this past November was our first at CSS, and we loved it. As CathyG said, climbing the steps gives you the opportunity to stop and smell the "roses". Have fun.
