The presence of eliminated teams playing each other doesn't help picking.

Good luck;

Bob

Yeah, it's a tough week, also with teams that are resting their stars, like Pittsburgh and the Rams. I'm going to have to look at it again and decide.

Looks like we gentlemen needed help this week. At least 4 out of 12 of our choices won.

Happy New Year

Bob

The last week is crazy. Players resting, substitutes playing. You never know what is going to happen.

Pretty pitiful showing this week by all! I think we should all just retire our picking for this year and hope for better results next season!! laugh

Certainly next season will find an improvement on my part since there is so little room for more mistakes.

There used to be some animal--a manatee perhaps?? thinks that they used to use to make football picks on a TV station around here a while ago. It usually did fairly well!! grin

I knew they were resting players, so stayed off that game. Originally I couldn't believe SF was picked. It will be interesting to see how SF does next year. Letting Garropollo go was really pretty stupid by NE.

They couldnt keep him on the bench behind brady forever. He was likely begging to be traded so he could play some while still in his peak years.

And pay him more than they are paying Brady? If Brady retires after this year he will be back in a Pats uniform next year and they will have gotten a good draft pick.

I'm sure he doesn't want to go out like Ely Manning. He loves the Pats as shown by his taking a smaller salary than he could get. As I understand it, Garropollo is free to sign with anybody and Brady will step aside so the Pats don't lose him.

I don't doubt that Brady loves the Pats, but, barring an injury, I sure don't see Brady retiring after this year, regardless of how far they go in the playoffs.

Very good article. Trading to another AFC team like Cleveland was out of the question. We'll see what free agency brings. He obviously is a very good quarterback to win all five games he started with a cellar dweller.

Oh, fortunately for Garopolo, they didn't trade him to Cleveland!! Cleveland is the place where good ball players go to die!! shocked Can't imagine that Cleveland retained their coach, who won one game in two years!!!!!! duh
