Long overdue, but a Major Upgrade is coming soon. Probably by the end of next week. Many new features including the most asked about being able to upload photos into posts, etc.
That will happen, but not immediately as I am asking/volunteering Beerman and TomB to help figure it all out.
In the process of this upgrade we are also moving servers completely!
What does all of this entail/mean you ask.
The upgrade is so big that it will take up to 12 hours alone just to convert the database.
However we will keep the forums active during the full time frame. At some point next week I will have to send off the database for conversion. At that time no new postings will be transfer automatically. However I think that I will be able to repost any messages to the new software.
How will it effect you. Until I send the database there should not be any difference. Once I do that, then I may also have to change pointers to start setting up the new servers.
At this time I have already made entries to allow these forums to continue. But it will mean a different URL. I WILL POST THAT WHEN THE TIME COMES.
Should you not see the message with the url change, then go to
www.traveltalkonline.com only. Once I can I will change the main page with a link to these forums. If the new forums are operational then I will note that also on the main page.
There will also be many changes once the new software is installed. Because I cannot make those changes and options available currently as the software has so much more.
I know that I am leaving out information so will be updating this thread on a regular basis.
