help please...the last 5 times I've done this, I've only had a carryon...can someone tell me if I have to collect my luggage in Miami to go on to my next flight domestically

can't imagine how I'll manage because one suitcase is so old pull with a strap kind...

Yes, any time you enter the country for the first time from outside the country, you have to claim your checked luggage, go through customs, and then re-check luggage.

Just to let you know I think this is the worst airport to come back from out of the country I have stood in line after retrieving our bags for over 1 hr it is absolutely a mess then you have to carry it about 600 feet to give it to the airport people to put it on your next flight then you have to go back through a security check ,then on to your connecting flight GOOD LUCK
