The outpouring from friends and just fellow TTOLers has been amazing and heart warming. The offers of help and those who have connected me with on island help has been invaluable. I am especially touched by folks who started as guests and have become close friends who offered to send $$ for future stays. We are ploughing ahead..have settled with the insurance for about a third of what we hoped for..but enough to get the roof on and a new sea wall ( I hope). We are still planning a good old TTOL (and others) beach party for next June /July ( date to be determined) but will be posted here and Facebook).Once again..thanks and much peace and love in all these troubled times..

Glad to hear you got the big ticket items covered (hopefully) but ridiculous they put you through so much aggravation and 1/3 was the best they could do is pretty lame on their part. I'm sure you are just ready to get rolling at this point though, unfortunately you cannot put a price on sanity and dealing with them sounded like a nightmare...and WTH? don't they know those were million dollar chairs?

That doesn't sound good at all. Since we have the same insurance, I'm wondering where we will end up...

Mal--totally agree with you on the insurance deal. We got probably half of what I thought we should get here, but it is what it is.

We have a trip booked to ST. Maarten the middle of June next year. It would be really cool if we could pop over for a couple of days in the middle for your party!! Let us know what dates you are thinking about, as the time gets closer!!
