Does anyone have any owners time for Moorings or TMM that they are willing to sell for 7 nights in July or June? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm keeping an eye out for the same thing. Likely taking family which means we're paying for most of the boat and flights rather than splitting it sooo ..... owners time would be key. 40-44 with A/C in mid to late June.

If anyone has suggestions I'm open.

Did that in June, with crew of 11 on a 52' cat. Check with Jenny Goya of DYC. Saved a ton of $$.

We are trying to establish a simple way for charterers to connect with owners on the Charter Vessels page of BVI Mariner. As always, welcome your views on how to make this more valuable.

Warren's Scuba Doo has been added ... a 2017 Lagoon 450F with some uncommon features like sunshades and underwater lights. You can find details here .

Any owners wishing to add their vessels, please contact us via the Web site. Thanks!

With the very significant reduction in available bareboats for this season, I can't see why owners would offer their boats for 25%-50% discounts as in the past. I think the demand side will pick up and quickly exceed the supply as folks see more evidence of the recovery and realize they can enjoy beaches and anchorages with just a fraction of the usual crowds.

Moorings/Sunsail owners and I believe DYC are allowed to sell weeks and all the money goes in their pockets with no reduction in monthly lease payments. It can make a large difference in the financial outcome for the program.

George - I get why selling owner's time makes sense for some owners. I just don't see the need to heavily discount with a supply limited market.

I agree - owners time/discounted weeks of sailing, or however you want to describe it doesn't seem to make sense in the current BVI environment as the stock of available vessels for charter is substantially lower than it was earlier this year. Time will tell how the demand for that reduced supply measures up... and I would say that the market will find itself an equilibrium when the pressures become clear. I would be surprised if heavily discounted weeks became the norm right now.

The rationale for buying owner's time is the discount. If owners are not discounting buyers will go direct to the charter companies.
