I just took a look at our AA reservation for May 4, looks like the 8am nonstop SXM/MIA has been discontinued. We are now on the afternoon flight. Bummer...

OK, will look at our reservation for June. Am really surprised that they are putting people on what I call the EVENING flight..

Mine still showed it for June on a Friday. No wonder they changed me to a week earlier on a Saturday per my request through CLT with no fees or extra charges. Even though a Saturday return was considerably more than we paid for our Friday return.

I just checked for May 27 and it still showed a 8:00 AM flight

It appears the 8am still operates Sat/Sun/Mon most weeks

I have found that in these situations it is best to actually try to 'book' a flight to see if your flight is really available.
We have had flight number/time changes and we were put on less convenient flights. The airlines aren't always the best in communicating changes.

JFK to SXM

Jet blue has direct flights from jfk. Husband flew there and back 2 weeks ago... they have two flights a week and in January daily... This airline has so far never disappointed us...
