I'm not sure what RonDon told you but I can tell you this: it's going to be a good long time before Grand Case is able to accommodate very many tourists. I am getting information from the very large St. Martin/Grand Case community that lives where I do in Connecticut. They have been running fundraisers and collecting donations for family members still in SXM non-stop since the hurricane happened. They also have paid for and brought several people who lost everything here to the USA.
There is one lolo open with another getting ready to open. There are only a couple of the many restaurants open.
The water-side of the that village is pretty much being rebuilt from scratch.
Grand Case Beach Club has stated several times on their Facebook page that they will not be ready for visitors until possibly August-September of 2018. As of this point, they STILL do not have basic internet and/or other communications there.
Grand Case was just one of the hardest hit parts of SXM.

zoe - only 1 of the LoLo's is open with Talk of the Town in the process of rebuilding. I should have said that differently Other restaurants are trying to open, one at a time.

https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_R...St_Maarten.htmlI hadn't heard of it either - the owner, Arno Ace, had sent me an FB friend request, so I see all of their posts. On the map, it appears to be on the water side and near the center of the boulevard. They're described as an Italian tapas place. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Les Bains de Grand Case is located right next to the wooden pier.
