I just booked the Regent seven seas Mariner for Feb 2020.
We fly to Tahiti, board the ship. Then Sail to Bora Bora, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia...22 nights...18 on the ship and 3 in Sydney.

Has anyone been on this ship or on this particular cruise?

Advice? Suggestions?

Our flights have now been booked and soon we get to choose our excursions and make dinner reservations

We fly STL to LA to Papeete
We fly home Sydney to Dallas to STL

We have also added two days in papeete at the intercontinental hotel

Can't imagine an 18 day vacation, or in your case 22 nights. Looks like this will be a fantastic cruise -- great venues. I am looking at the possibility of a Dubai cruise in 2021.

This trip will be 25 from the day we leave until we come home. It will certainly be the longest trip we have taken. We have friends who are about to take their second world cruise which lasts 122 days...lol I keep trying to talk my husband into that one....he's a NO GO...lol

Regent cruises are certainly pricey...but they are all inclusive...including first class air....and the longer the cruise the more they cost...but they sure have some amazing itineraries! I would really love to do a world cruise...but we have animals and we just cannot leave them for 122 days . I have a house sitter that i pay to come and stay and take care of my animals...but I don't think she would be willing to come for 5 months...lol

Steve says that's just too long and i understand what he is saying...but how exciting that would be! So we will just have to cruise one leg at a time I guess...it costs more that way...but we get back home for a while anyway.

Honestly, I wouldn't WANT to be gone that long. I would get really tired of being away from home. We also have dogs and I would miss them too much!

Yes, that is truly scary. I have family who have booked a land vacation to Australia soon. I think they will have to cancel part of the trip. Easier to re-schedule of course when one is on a cruise and they take care of it. My heart goes out to the people and animals who live there..

Looks to be an amazing trip. Both New Zealand and Australia are on my bucket list. Hope you have a wonderful trip. Our tops is 2 weeks gone at a time due to our animals at home. Though truly, they go to a doggie day care and they almost don't want to come home from there.

It is a long one but a great one, looks like cabins still available if you can get away and can pay the freight.
