Chesterfields is totally destroyed. I have a picture of the pile of rubble but can't post the picture on TTOL.

I did post it on Everything St. Maarten on FB if you are a member: https://www.facebook.com/groups/6297726366/permalink/10154944938486367/?comment_id=10154945098036367

OK, wildbill just posted that they are getting ready to reopen. Which one is correct??? Please don't post that something is destroyed unless you know that they are not going to reopen.

I also saw a picture of a pile of rubble in what appeared to be the parking lot. It had been mentioned it was pretty beat up but perhaps they are in the rebuilding process and nearly done.

One of the major problems with posting links to facebook, even if one has a facebook account, you can not view pictures in "closed groups" unless you are a member of that group.

I just saw on FB that the pile of rubble is (was) the Cheese Factory and that Chesterfields is open.

The cheese store is open. Chesterfields is not destroyed. The deck over the water was damaged but the whole place is not destroyed. Dock Maarten was probably one of the places least damaged from Irma. I don't know where these people get information!!!!!

Thank you,
Good to get accurate, first hand information.
Mark's Place and Chesterfield's have long been our favorite eateries.
