Well we made it no problems on flight to the island. Departed plane down steps then walked over to immigration no questions asked, no problems. Walked out to see Louis from Automax Car rental with a big smile after hugs and greetings we were on the way. Roads are in good shape, lots of car and truck traffic. Everywhere you look you see people working on fixing things up. Drove over to Oyster Pond to see Carine at Les Balcons where we normally would stay but is closed for repairs. After hugs and greetings took a look around Les Balcons lots of roof and deck problems but everything fixable just going to take time and supplies. We are staying at Princess Heights in Oyster Pond they have power, water and internet who needs anything else. Went over to BZH Creperie for another great supper, they were damaged also but a pile of new lumber was there just waiting to be put up. Had lots of comments saying we were the first tourist they have seen and THANKED us for coming back. (Also if someone knows how to post the pictures please let me know)

thanks for the note. If you can post the pictures somewhere online, you can post a link to them. Or upload to the TTOL SXM photo gallery. Or email them to me.

Thanks for your "on ground" report. We're all interested in what/who you see.

Hi,
Chris and Paul are on the island now and staying at Pearl1, which is next to Blue Beach. I haven't heard back from them and believe that the Internet is not widely available. We will be arriving there on the 30th.
Best wishes, Sal
