Heard Skys the limit and a vague reference to somebody opening.
Would be interested in status/progress on Talk of the Town, Bistrot Caraibes, le Cottage, Ocean 82, others ???

Lots of restaurants on Blvd de Grand Case were hammered and will need to completely rebuild (interiors, equipment, etc.). Big delay now is getting insurance handled.
Spiga was very lucky... they had relatively minor damage.

Thanks for the info. I guess Spiga being off the main drag a tiny bit helped a ton.
Have you heard that all the main restaurants plan to repair, rebuild, and reopen?
Did the ones on the inland side of the street fair any better than the oceanfront side of the road?

I did talk to MoMo at ti buchon in the cul de sac. Building is gone and he will not rebuild.
It makes me so sad...but I understand. He is in Spain and is not planning to go back to SXM. It is truly our loss.

Thanks for the update.
We had been wondering how MoMo was doing. We had hoped that since his building was well inland, that it had survived.
That's too bad. We really loved Ti Bouchon. We'll miss MoMo.

Ocean82 has already started rebuilding. I haven't heard of any of the others yet. Sure hope Bistrot Caraibes comes back as well as Piazza Pascal. Has anyone heard from Donna?

We heard from Donna a few days after the hurricane. She and Pascal actually were in France when Irma hit. I don't know how soon they plan to return now that commercial flights into PJIA have resumed. She was under the impression that their building was still standing, but knew little more. Pascal's brother's Orient Beach spot was last spotted winging its way to Anguilla along with all the other OB bars.
