Easy Salmon Patties (Yes, they're made with canned Salmon. Don't flame me for that. They are still really good!)
Ingredients 1 can (14 3/4 Ounce Can) Salmon 1 medium sized Potato, Shredded ¼ cup Onion, Minced Or Grated ¼ cup Cornmeal ¼ cup Flour 1 Egg 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder 1 dash Salt And Pepper, to taste 3 Tablespoons Oil For Pan Frying
Preparation Instructions 1. Drain salmon thoroughly. Flake it with a fork in a large bowl. 2. Add remaining ingredients (except oil) and mix well. 3. Form into patties. 4. Add oil to a frying pan and heat to medium-high heat. 5. Fry patties until golden brown, turning once during cooking. 6. Enjoy!!

I actually like canned salmon, but hey, what do I know?? The recipe does sound good to me, but Eric, who loves every type of fish there is, can't stand the smell of canned salmon cooking!

SteveandDeb, I use Canned Salmon all the time! RED Salmon, NOT PINK Salmon! Good stuff! actually, for a salmon casserole, I prefer canned to fresh! as long as it is RED Salmon... that PINK Salmon $uck$!!!
Carol, Tracy (our daughter) loves just eating Red Salmon right out of the can! bones and all!! (Not for me though! LOl!)... for canned, always RED Salmon... and bones removed for me, thank you! THX for the recipe S&D! YUMMMMMMM!!! would be great with a remoulade and on top of an English Muffin!

I like it straight out of the can too, but no bones!! And pink salmon is cheap stuff.
