Does anyone have any information on how the Zoo or Parrotville made out through Irma - I haven't seen them mentioned in any posts

I found another post on TripAdvisor from someone that worked with the zoo stating that the zoo has been completely devastated and is unlikely to reopen. We loved visiting the zoo when were were on St. Maarten. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g1...St_Maarten.htmlWe haven't seen any information on Parrotville, but have a feeling that the news is not good. The enclosures were similar to those of the butterfly farm, and the butterfly farm structures were completely destroyed by Irma.

The Trip Advisor post is from Barbara and she says very expressly that "the zoo will not reopen." Very sad. Barbara and others put so much work (and money) into making the zoo work.
