I would like to donate but with hardships come scam artists. Can any one confirm its really Club O?

Yes, it's on the level. If you go on the ClubO website, there's a link to it. The fund was started by one of the owners of the Bare Necessities Travel Agency.

I got to the GoFundMe page from the Club O "News and Events" link, so yes, it's the real deal.

As I expected, the club and grounds have insurance but the staff, particularly the locals, will have a problem. The fund is for the staff, I will be sending a donation.

They are up to almost $100,000 ...wow...and growing. Well in the end you have trust that the originator administers the money properly. The employees at Club 0 know how much is in the fund....if that doesn't do it in the end they have to answer to the higher authority

It is going to take at least a few months to get a semi accurate ESTIMATE of how much the costs of rebuilding will be.
So what numbers you see now are just wild speculation ( in my opinion of going through a hurricane in the Caribbean).
I have noticed that some that are not even on island and have not seen damages that have happen to their interests on island are asking for money.

LaVista did a Go Fund Me page and it was legitimate. The fund was for the employees who lost everything. Bank of America thought it was a fraud situation and emailed me and I gave them the go ahead to allow the transaction.
