Hallelujah <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" />The sun is shining, the sun is shining, to the beach. Quick breakfast, then over to OB to join Scott and his lovely bride. We went the Dutch side after yesterday’s fiasco, and only had a short delay at the border and in Orleans where the parade was to end. By following a large cab – we arrived unscathed and in 35 minutes at OB. Great day, a little overcast, but not raining. Found Cybershark and a lovely Canandian couple from Vancouver. Had a lovely time chatting Also found Harry , Mat and the girls next to the Perch. Lunch at Orange Fever, I had beef carpacchio and Steve has a huge bacon burger. Then trotted off to find Fabila…walked all the way down to Palm Court and found them as I walked back. Nice way to work off lunch.
Such a beautiful day could not be wasted, so we remained until all the umbrellas were taken down and most people had left. Bout 5:30 we left the beach and drove to Grand Case, parked and had a fabulous dinner on the beach at Calmos: Yellow Tail and Mahi Mahi raw salad for me, Mahi Mahi Fillet for Steve. Bottle of water and 2 beers. Total 43.50euros. Wended our way back to Pelican, stopped at Piece of Cake in Simpson Bay for Café Latte and Mango Sorbet. Sorbet is lovely, but made in NJ Caio Bella. Back to the gelateria next to Stone. Tomorrow- to Phillisburg in the am and then back to OB.
