All day sail with Neil on Celine: Cast of characters: Ann and Steve, David and Elizabeth (IslandGem), Todd and MJ (Todd) and Harry and Alan, plus 2 wonderful couples from England ( noodles are called woggles in Englad – so we were told) and a wonderful couple from Florida – widely traveled. Liza and Ellison (marvelous crew) had discovered little Lily – a tiny Papillion dog, and rescued her the nite before. Lily was quickly adopted by all on board, who ensured that her first day of adoption was a little slice of heaven. She was held and coddled all day. Capt Neil was relieved of steering duties on the way to Tintamarre, by Ann – who loves that sail – much to the consternation of those on the bow, who did not heed the call to remove their clothes and give up on being dry on the crossing…. Once at Tintamarre the lot swam or were escorted to shore and had a few hours of lazing about, on the sand, on noodles, er…. woggles. Steve stayed in the water almost the entire time. So excited to float au naturel! Lunch was as always a east for the eyes and the palette. MahiMahi, Seafood paella, Ribs, pasts salad, greek salad, fresh bread – one with Chef Neil’s fresh herbs. After gobbling our share – and more. We sailed on to Creole Rock for snorkeling… the coral is quite bleached out but the fish were plentiful. One little ray led the way to the submerged rock. Next stop was Happy Bay for swimming and mud baths. IslandGem and Todd had a lengthy discussion surrounding which palm tree was theirs? There was an incredible amount of laughter emanating from our group. One of the Brits kept asking MJ, who calls all men sweety ( and why NOT?), “Wot’s that mean, exactly?” No true answer was ever determined, but he did love the attention and clearly was not adverse to hugs. Since ours was a hugging group, we were decidedly willing to share. A las, All things must come to completion and as we pulled into Simpson Lagoon (the Pond?) we all paid and scrambled out and off to our next adventure. The boys went to Buccaneer the rest of us went for showers and then on to dinner. Silly Ann called Elaine to warn he we were coming there- she announced they were closing early due to lack of customers, so Ann and Steve went to Turtle Pier for Filet Mignon. Not the same as seeing Bill and Elaine and enjoying Todd and MMJ some more, but oh well. Early evening.
Learned the next day that Todd and MJ and Dave and Elizabeth all showed up at OC and stayed – we missed that boat!!! Next time I won’t call Elaine!
Here are some photos!
