November 2nd is only 7 weeks away. Speaking from the gut of course, they won't be ready for you. You have shown your friends beautiful pictures, they won't see that in 7 weeks. I traveled to St John 6 months after Hugo, which pales in comparison, and the damage was still everywhere. I know you will be ready, I will be too, but we would be looking to make contact with friends to see what we can do, your friends will want a vacation. Maybe consider Guadalupe with day trips to the Le Saintes, its beautiful there. Our friend just came over, they sailed with us on Mardi Gras a couple years ago and twice in villas on St John, she said "we need to plan to go back, they need us to come back"...I said absolutely we will.
