While we continue to assess the damage to our fleet and properties in the British Virgin Islands and St Martin, our first concern is the safety of our teams and customers. We continue to reach out to all of our team members and all of those reached are confirmed safe. All of our customers have now been evacuated from Tortola and are returning home via Puerto Rico and Antigua. No customers were in St Martin. Please note with major damage to cell phone towers and power outages communications remain difficult at this time, however the governments are now on site assisting with evacuation and relief efforts. For departures in the BVI and St Martin between now and October 31st 2017, please contact our holiday planners at sales@sunsail.com or 0330 332 1172 for assistance with rearranging your charter. Our locations in Antigua and Bahamas have reported all team members safe and minimal impact to our fleet. Both bases will be resuming normal operations shortly. Our locations in Grenada and St Lucia are unaffected and continue to operate charters normally. Our Florida offices remain closed due to power outages caused by Hurricane Irma’s passage, but all of our team members are safe. Due to precautions taken with our IT infrastructure prior to the arrival of Hurricane Irma you may experience issues with online booking over the next few days. We are currently experiencing heavy call volumes, so we appreciate your patience as wait times may be high. Thank you everyone for your continued support, prayers and offers to help with our recovery plans.

Kudos to Sunsail! I contacted Sunsail yesterday concerning our 10/20 charter. After discussing other options such as different locations and dates Sunsail provided us a full refund. I'm not sure this would be an option if sailing after 10/31. We look forward to doing other charters with Sunsail and hopefully in the BVI's sooner rather that later. I wish others in a similar situation the same good fortune. Thanks Sunsail!

If Sunsail-Moorings comes out as the only or one of a few who returned advance payments that will turn out to be a major marketing advantage when the muck dries and the sediment is washed away from Irma. Some wild guessing math. 500 yachts returning 5,000 in advance payments a week is $250,000 in cash going out from someone each week. When will cash start flowing in the other direction at what rates times what number of yachts? Do you have the name and extension number of the rep who is returning money?

I spoke with two reps in the process that were both extending the refund offer. Again, the magic date for this refund was chartering before 10/31. Our refund was 2,756 for a 38 ft premier mono. This was our 7th charter thru Sunsail which might have help some.

They are offering a rebook or refund on charters prior to 31 Oct for Moorings, Sunsail and Footloose. I suspect that date will get pushed out further as they get more info on the boats. G

Do you have the name and extension number of the rep who is returning money? In all due respect, StormJib, 500 x 5000 = $2,500,000
