The building, shown in the background of the photo attached to the article, appears to be either the Blue Bay Beach Hotel, or the Alamanda Resort. In either case, it appears as if the building suffered extensive damage.

Blue Bay, yes, not Alamanda, what was the old name of Blue Bay? The buildings in front of the hotels really took the biggest hits.

The Blue Bay Beach hotel was originally known as the Cap Caraibes. We have stayed there many times. So sad.

Yes, the old Cap Caraibes. Our second trip to the island we stayed in that third floor room. The restaurant in front was Waikiki.
