Just wondering if anyone has heard if the following people are ok. Leslie Bruce, Allain Arnell and Myra of AAA car rental, and Annette and her husband of Bavaria restaurant. Any info? Thanks!

Lesley Bruce has posted elsewhere and his daughter also made posts regarding the family. From what was posted, they are ok but damage to the house and cars.

I also saw a post from Bavaria owners and they mentioned the restaurant sustained some damage but no idea of the extent.

There is nothing posted on Alain's Facebook page...but that's understandable since they have no power.

I thought i saw AAA building in one of the videos and it looked like many of the cars were turned upside down...but i cannot be sure.

I e mailed him yesterday but have had no response....i hope we hear something from him soon.

Part of the problem with getting information out by phone is they are on limited credit and have no way of adding credit to their phones. No electric, no internet, no stores open, you run out of minutes and you are dead in the water so to speak.

I just spoke to an island resident and I made to call to him and he said he can not call out as he is out of credit and no way to add more.

Edited to add:

TelEm/TelCell (according to Laser101) has given subscribers a $5 credit for landlines and cell phones. They also reported they would have a way to purchase additional credit (cash only) within the next couple of days at a stated location.

I have heard that Alain and his family are fine; I've heard nothing about the cars, nor have I heard about Myra and her family.

There are damaged cars everywhere we went, including the car rental lots by the airport. Gonna be a tough time getting an undamaged one just now.

Do you have a Top Up card with credit on it? Every time I'm on island I add $20 - $40. Then once a month (or when I remember) I add $1 to my phone, or just extend the number.

You would have to have credit in your account, though I'm sure there MUST be another way to do it.

Also wondering about three others if anyone knows if they are ok. Raquel and Harold at Flamingo and Basil who works as a waiter at both Chesterfields and Skipjacks. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.
