Amid all the devastation around us all at this time, from SXM. BVI, USVI and the rest of the Caribbean and Florida, let us have a moment of prayer for all the victims of 9/11. Devastation caused by hate. We will never forget. May they rest in peace. Amen. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/usflag.gif" alt="" />

Apparently either no on saw this post or many have forgotten the dead at 9/11. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/usflag.gif" alt="" />

This is probably the first post I have made in 7/8 years, but you struck a nerve with your post. 16 years ago this morning we were on a flight from the east coast to Vegas. We were put down in Chicago. Last week I stopped in Shenksville just to reflect on a horrible day. No they have not been forgotten.

They will never be forgotten although I will admit I missed this post. God bless the lost souls and then the heroes of that day and all the days that followed. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the day that changed our world forever. No matter where I travel in the world I'm always happy to return to the U.S. and proud to have so many family members that have served. May God bless all those that have paid the ultimate price and comfort their families.

Last year our local YMCA ran a bus trip to the museum and memorial. It truly is a moving, emotional experience. I'd recommend it to anyone who has not yet visited.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

My husband watched the towers fall from the roof of his building and my brother in law who worked for Lehman walked home with soot on his black suit back to Long Island. I was working in greenvale and closed the shop after the towers fell. Long Island expressway was moving at 8 miles per hour. No one could drive.

I have not forgotten!!! Wife and I returned from St. Maarten on 09-10-01 after our 8th trip. woke up to a completely different world as we watched in anquish. My only son Joined the Marines on 09-12-01, following in my footsteps and his Uncles footsteps. We did not see him for almost 5 years as he was continuously being deployed, and in operations against the enemies of the USA. I am thankful, and very proud of our citizens, and military, for their acts of courage, and heroism in the face of extreme danger.
