With all the devastation we are seeing and the heartbreak of it all, remember this, St. Martin people are strong and courageous. This isn't their first rodeo when it comes to hurricanes. Granted this one was far worse. However, they will rebuild. And they will come back better than before. It's not going to happen overnight but it will return to the beautiful island we all love. Now WE need to focus on ways to send help.

Very well stated and I agree completely. Awaiting word of any substantive game plan along with a secure means of helping with donations, etc. And lastly, saying prayers for the people of the island. They are a tough, proud and faithful (most cab rides I've had had religious radio broadcasts) bunch.
In June, we commented how happy all seemed to be compared to the year before and year before that. It was our best trip and seemed good for them as well.
Again, they are strong and will make the best of this, BUT ThEY WILL NEED FRENCH and DUTCH disaster assistance and help from all of us via donations and returning as soon as able.
Makes a grown man cry...
