Which organization would be the best to donate to, to help with the immediate recovery and support after this "witch" goes by. I'm sure St. Martin is going to need a great deal of help.

That's a good question. We will be trying to compile such a list, so anyone that has the name of an organization and the contact information that can help, please post here.

I think that we will give directly to people who we know need help.

There are bound to be some Faith-based organizations helping after the fact but sadly, I have no names either. Having read stories about the Red Cross and knowing my own Dad's stories about them during WWII I always hesitate to send my funds in that direction, but that's just me. I doubt Samaritans Purse operates there and I don't know about the Salvation Army but thinking probably not.

Hopefully, Elaine, Barbara, Lesley or Sharon might chime in? Please! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Respectfully,

That is a good idea, but many here wouldn't know how to do that. Hopefully there will be info posted in a couple of days from the Daily Herald or elsewhere.
