Tuesday, Aug. 29 Breakfast in the room. Beach day @ Orient. We originally wanted to go to Le Galion but when we got there Tropical Wave was packing up for vacation. No chairs or umbrellas available. Since we were already near Orient, we decided to go to Kakao for a few hours. 2 chairs & umbrella were $20 US. Had table service on the beach available. Had a few of their beverages and a few we brought along. Nice facility and we were treated very well. Menu looked pretty good but we decided to wait & have a late lunch back @ the room. Dinner was @ Fat Tony’s for Steak night. Great value. Pizza’s looked awesome. Kind of a self-service place. Stars for entertainment.
Wednesday, Aug. 30 Breakfast in the room. Shopping day. Went looking for cosmetics & booze to take home. Struck out on the Estee Lauder cosmetics but struck gold at Gulmohar’s as usual. Great prices on single malts that you cannot get here in the states. Finished the day at the pool. Moomba’s for a pizza dinner. Very close to what Soprano’s used to serve. Great service and a fair price. Casino Royale for the show “A Michael Jackson Experience” and some table time for me. Very well done but quite loud considering the size of the show room. Made back what I lost the first 3 nights.
Thursday, August 31 Breakfast in the room. Another pool day. This is becoming a pattern. Great pool & a small but swimmable beach make it hard to leave. Lunch at the Yacht Club. Good meals and service. Dinner back @ Harry’s. I had a good ribeye and Cindy had grilled shrimp. She said it was the best she had ever eaten. Excellent. Stars for entertainment.
Friday, Sept. 1 Breakfast @ Zee Best. Good service & food. Pharmacy trip for some things that are pricey here but not there. They are also prescription based in the states but not in SXM. Our cost for purchase was less than our US copays. Had planned to go to Baie Rouge but just didn’t make it. Much easier to throw a couple of beverages in the soft cooler & go to the pool/beach on site. Dinner @ Lee’s since we could walk there. Good meals and service. Had a lot of fun feeding the tarpon w/fries given to us by the waitress. Back to Casino Royale for the new show. Not as good as the MJ show.

Thanks again for the report. I've always enjoyed the beach at Royal Palm, as it is not crowded and enjoy having a palapa out on the beach with my own beverages.
