What happened to the flagpole at Club O? A hurricane precaution perhaps?

I saw them taking it down this morning. Tony, (the painter) was involved, so it could just be it is being painted. The flag has been down for a while.

Club O is closed annually at this time. I believe they take the flag down during that time and it will go up when they re-open.

I would think a broken and flying flagpole in 150-175 mph winds would pose a significant danger.

I would think they want it To last as long as possible to see what is going on from wherever they will be riding things out from.
