..is no threat to the BVI, but islands to the south being deluged with rain. The next one behind it though, looks like it will at least come very close to the BVI. The one behind that looks to be a fish storm though. Those going down soon should keep an eye out!! NHC

Certainly at this time of year - keeping an eye out is mandatory. Watching the 'next one out' [invest 92]: It is currently at 1009mb and 25 kts moving at 285 degrees. It continues to gain a Northerly movement component Even the lowest computer predicted point of approach is well over 100nm N. of the VI's All low pressure systems can change rapidly so vigilance is not wasted energy, https://my.sfwmd.gov/sfwmd/common/images/weather/plots/storm_92This is a worthy loop to check daily: https://weather.msfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/ge...mp;numframes=10

Hey, Carol! With those incredible thunderstorms you have in Florida every afternoon, how do you know when you are having a tropical storm?
[color:"red"]NUTMEG[/color] Today is the tomorrow you talked about yesterday.

Yeah, you should have seen the storm we had here Thursday afternoon!!! I was driving home from Tampa and almost pulled over a couple of times..
That particular storm seems to be less viable on every run though, thank goodness..
