Just one more reason it pays to check your flight status often. Checked mine yesterday, and found that my early Sunday morning flight from CLE to PHL in December was no more, which meant the connection to SXM was also kaput. I was routed now through Miami, with an arrival in SXM over 2 hours later than the PHL flight.

I boned up on the rules governing such situations before I called AA, and after I got the "that's the way it is" message, I read the AA rules back to the very nice lady that stated I could re-book at no charge if the arrival time changed by more than 90 minutes.

As Detroit is my home airport, I only booked out of CLE because it was $300 cheaper per ticket for my dates versus DTW..the AA rule triggered by the 90 minute change further states that you can change the departure airport if it's within 300 miles of the one you originally booked, and if it's the same departure day. So, I got the flights I wanted in the first place, along with the savings. Not all cancellations are bad I reckon. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

GREAT! Good for you. Do you have the link to that rule, so that others can have it on hand when needed?
