It scares me to think what could have happened.

You are right! Whoever took that video should have called the police. Could have been a major disaster!

That is ridiculous! As someone else said, that person should be arrested.

Really sad. With the lack of discipline in the home and schools, this is the product it produces.

This is the product of parents that do not spend time with there kids, teaching them right from wrong. Blame the parents. As in America, the kids have little respect, little fear, and no discipline at all... the world is full of this element...

These "kids" very well could be parents themselves> There will always be losers in the world and hopefully not too many will affect your life

There will be enough to effect everyones lives. This is a disrespectful time, filled with entitlement, and loss of fear and respect for laws and authority... That goes back to upbringing... Parents are too busy living there lives and forgot to discipline there kids... Soooooo? Of cource we have this kind of incident happening... All over, not just one place... Ok off my soapbox..

Right on!! All the kids know today is how to take selfies and text. Their faces are constantly in an I phone. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cloud.gif" alt="" />

Has anyone doubted the veracity of the story and pictures?

I shared with a person who flies, and the response was:

"I find that hard to believe. throwing a ball at a plane from that distance and in the water would be probable, and might come close, but I don't think a ball would make it to the rear stabilizer. It would have to pass over the wing and close to an engine, air waves around the leading edge of the wing would force a small ball away from the plane."

That was my first thought when looking at the first picture. Throwing a ball upward waist deep in water is difficult. 20 or 30 feet upward maybe. Ball might have went under the plane and a draft took it farther. There is no picture of it going over a wing.

It will be interesting to see if there is any follow up to this. While it is easily possible to make the initial throw, the height of the ball is questionable.

Take a deep breath, your generalization is WAY over the top. I live in a small college town, all the kids are very respectful.

If the date and time are correct, we were at SSBB and saw that plane come in. I didn't see anything like that but, as usual, I was looking at the plane and not at people in the water.

This is going to get to the point where the security that runs the airport will close off the crossroad to Beacon hill when the big guys are coming in, clearing everyone off the beach and the road. Mark my words, this is easier than building some windscreen and more signs. People are to stupid to take heed when they have been drinking and just don't care!!
