There was effectively none at Beachside Villas on Simpson Bay, from June 15 to 26. Even when it is horrible at places like Dawn Beach, it's usually pretty clear on Simpson Bay. And most resorts on Simpson Bay clear whatever seaweed there is daily.

Such a bummer I'm going to Simpson bay resort. Didn't think it was an issue there.

SBR is on the opposite side of Simpson Bay from where this photo was taken. You probably won't have any problem there. However, it's not the best beach on the island, so be sure to explore others!!

Our kids just came back from Punta Cana and the beach where they stayed was completely unusable due to the seaweed the entire week they were there. They investigated ahead of time and had talked to people who were there the week before they were and there was nothing. This is going to continue to be a problem throughout the Caribbean....it is what it is. When we were at Orient in May we had 2 days where a "section" of the beach was involved. At least we didn't lose the whole week.

I am going to lock this thread since there is another one going regarding the seaweed situation.
Thanks.
