I just found a fare that is half the price of what I've seen in the last couple of weeks. We normally are more comfortable purchasing direct from the airline, but the savings is tempting.
Maybe I'm wrong. Isn't true that when you purchase direct from the airline, you have more recourse should an issue arise re double booking and etc.?

Is that one of those sites where you don't know what airline until after you pay?

Not sure if this is still the case but fare consolidators have a lot of 'small print' and you have to comply with it every inch of the way to reach any satisfaction with them should there be a problem. I'm sure they must be a legit company but the problem is, you never know what will happen until a problem arises, and then it might be too late. Personally speaking, I wouldn't purchase anywhere but from the airline itself regardless of how good a deal sounds, but that's just my take.

I'm just more comfortable going directly to the airline. Thanks.

OK, I don't understand how it can be half the price then. Never looked at it myself.

Thought it was just me. I saw an AA flight and when I went to AA the flight times did not match.

I have always used Expedia to book AA flights with no issues so far, and their flight times have always matched. I currently have one booked.

Again, if you have to make a change with Expedia, the airlines won't help. To the OP as my Dad always said if it's too good to be true, it probably is

We used points but would not have hesitated at that price to use cash
