Hi All! My sister and I are leaving in a couple days for SXM! Staying in a rental on the beach in Grand Case near Calmos Cafe. Does anyone know what the beach situation is along that stretch recently? I recall it was just a skinny strip that would sometimes disappear in high tide. Has anything changed? We can still walk around Grand Case all day long and feel safe going to the grocery or bakery or little shops right? We don't go out at night, cook in and turn in early.
Anything going on next week we should know about or do? I remember going to a couple TTOL get togethers at Marys Boon. The beach bars would give us free beer if we wore our TTOL hats! Any of that still going on? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

The beach wasn't too skinny in March. But be warned about the rental next to Calmos can get noisy at night. Then again if you're young enough you'll be at Calmos until the music ends.
Petite Plague, the beach next to Grand Case beach club is wide. You'd pay to rent chair but perhaps they're free if you eat/drink there. Great restaurant and they will serve you on the beach if you don't want to leave your chair.
