Our travels to the island of St. Martin begins this afternoon with a trip to St. Louis for an overnight visit.
Then at about 0400 tomorrow morning we will head to Lambert International Airport to begin trekking south to the island. with a stop in Charlotte thrown in for good measure.
Our bags are packed and we are not-so-patiently waiting to begin our trip, and 21 days on the 'Friendly Island....

Where are you staying in SXM??? We have done three weeks before in the winter.Too bad the time seems to go just as fast as if you were there for two weeks!!

Yes, "leaving on a jet plane" does come to mind every trip to st. Maarten. One year when we came home we got in the car & as we were heading down the highway "It's good to be back home again" was playing on the radio. Love John Denver. And does anybody else here who listens to the ATC in St. Maarten want to yell "Goodday Juliana" as they approach the bay? Lol 6 months to go! We stay at studio SXM -- in Mont Vernon. The same unit for the last 5 visits to the island. They are sponsors here. Nice accommodations and great pricing, to say nothing about the view...

Are you on the early or later flight from CLT to SXM. We are on the later one, and I know our plane comes from St. Louis earlier in the morning.
